Little Florists at Mount Ku-ring-gai
One lovely six year old is about to have a birthday. Last year she wanted a garden party. Being the first week in spring, we opted for something simple and floral, an easy after-school birthday gathering.
The entourage of little women bounced through the front door and changed into their finest. They were such a pleasant crowd to have for the afternoon. Win brought home a bucket of viburnum, a bucket of jonquils and some beautiful ranunculus. They learnt the finer art of floristry and arranged a bouquet to take home wrapped in brown paper.
They enjoyed giving their bouquets to their parents when it was pick-up time. I think the parents liked that too - a bit different from the lolly bag take home fare.
